Privacy Policy - Unhook for LinkedIn
Last updated: 14 June 2026
Unhook for LinkedIn is designed to respect your privacy completely. The short version: the extension collects nothing, sends nothing, and shares nothing.
What Data The Extension Collects
None. Unhook for LinkedIn does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data or browsing activity.
What Data Is Stored, And Where
Your preferences - which sections of LinkedIn you choose to hide, your redirect choices, and your theme - are stored locally on your own device using the browser's built-in extension storage. This data:
- never leaves your device,
- is never transmitted to the developer or any third party,
- is not shared with or sold to anyone,
- can be removed at any time by uninstalling the extension.
Network Requests
The extension makes no automatic network requests. It contains no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, and no remote code. It does not read, log, or send your LinkedIn content anywhere. It works entirely by hiding page elements with CSS and, optionally, redirecting the LinkedIn feed page to another LinkedIn page that you select.
Permissions
- storage - to save your preferences locally on your device.
- Host access to linkedin.com - so the extension can hide elements and apply your redirect preferences on LinkedIn pages. The extension runs only on LinkedIn and on no other websites.
Third Parties
There are no third-party services, SDKs, or trackers in this extension. The extension does not open or contact any third-party services automatically.
Changes To This Policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same location with a new "Last updated" date.
Contact
Use the support contact listed on the extension's browser-store page for privacy questions.
